Desmond Miles

A main character in the gaming series 'Assassin's Creed'. Descendant of both Altair Ibn-La'Ahad and Ezio Auditore da Firenze, Desmond was kidnapped by the Templar organisation known as 'Abstergo' in order to obtain information on the location of the 'Apple of Eden' by use of the 'Animus'.

Throughout the series, Desmond has been learning the skills of the Assassins through the 'Bleeding Effect', a by-product of using the animus.

He is part of the modern day 'Assassin Order', also involving Rebecca Crane, Lucy Stillman (a former employee of Abstergo) and Shaun Hastings.
