A group of people in a marching band (typically girls and flaming homosexuals) who spin and chuck into their 6-foot metal poles with 4-foot silks, wooden/plastic rifles, and unsharpened swords (sabres). These people are the most badass people in the marching band. No one fucks with the guard. They are some of the most talented people in the band. They also never have any free time due to marching band and winter guard.

Sometimes there is a point value associated with each instrument and whoever has the most points at the end of the season wins. We practice more then most high school sports teams and do not get enough recognition. Without color guard, the band would be very boring to watch.
