the definition is split in to two parts
zero: being a loser, someone with no aspirations or goals
hero: being amazing person who does what they please and makes people want to be them; the ultimate in someone being an all around great person

hence the "ora" in it's name

When you have no messages in your email inbox. Such a goal is often elusive, because the more email you clear out and reply to, the more new messages come in.

I reached my goal of inbox zero by Friday afternoon, but Monday morning I had 42 new messages.
