Get the Tarok mug.A person who believes that Imperial Russia and the Tsar were the best things to graze the Earth. Knows every lyric of God Save the Tsar and constantly sings Farewell of Slavianka whenever he gets in an argument with a communist; absolutely despises communism and anything that's against the Russian monarchy. Get the tarovodka mug. This phrase comes for the RTS PC Game, Starcraft. It is a phrase that is used by the Protoss race that is usually used at the beginning and/or the end of a meeting pertaining to serious Protoss issues by members that have a high status in Protoss society (e.g., members of the Protoss Conclave), just the like the words "Hello" and "Goodbye" have in native human language.
In the original Starcraft, meetings would often begin with the phrase En Taro Adun, although the use of this phrase was not limited to meetings. Adun was a legendary figure in Protoss history, who rid the Protoss homeworld of Aiur of the Dark Templar. Later, in the expansion set, Brood War, the phrase En Taro Tassadar would also be employed, after Tassadar sacrificed himself to destroy the Zerg Overmind.
Most likely, the phrase En Taro roughly means "Hail" or "Glory to," much like the Nazis during WWII would greet each other with "Hail Hitler." The phrase En Taro is always followed by the name of a glorious Protoss hero that accomplished something extraordinary. The use of the phrase itself invokes pride, courage and hope.
