Slipped the goose

"Slip the goose" means almost anything depending on context. It is the perfect expression because it invokes a strong visual, and yet it's vague enough that it resonates in a wide variety of situations with various meanings. Depending on how you say it and with what other combinations of words the meaning can mean someone did awesome, someone did badly, someone messed up, someone got confused, someone did something really tiring, or someone blew off work or other obligations, or even someone avoided a problem or tragedy.

Good - Hell yeah, man! You slipped the goose big time! Oh dang, you're lucky you slipped the goose.

Bad - Damn, you really slipped the goose. I don't know man, I slipped the goose earlier and not feeling it. The hell man, you slipped the Goose

when you go to click something, like an icon, a link, a menu item and you accidently click the wrong one sending you to the wrong place or opening the wrong thing.

I went to my favorites list so I could check out the word of the day and instead I click slipped and went to my favorite porno site instead. Oops.
