"i'm not trying" is an excuse for people who lost in 1v1s.

It's basically an excuse to get away from the fact that you're actually bad at the game.
You might find this is Roblox fighting games, or other games as well.

I'm not a cat

An incident that happened on 9 February, 2021 when Presidio County Attorney Rod Ponton arrived in Zoom court in the form of a fluffy white and brown kitten. He said the now-viral line "I'm not a cat" in a state of confusion and panic as he realised that he could not turn the filter off. The cat filter is a default software from an old Dell computer from the late 00's.

Rod: *Shows up as a cat*
Others: *weird looks*
Rod: *PANICS* "I'm here live, I'm not a cat".

I'm not gonna lie

A term that when prefixed to a statement does more damage than good. Its purpose is to state that you are about to tell the truth about something. However, If one has to use this statement, it can be concluded that when that same person does not use this statement then they are lying, because when they are telling the truth, they state that they are about to tell the truth by saying, "I’m not gonna lie..."

So this statement, in effect, when used, devalues any potential credibility one once had as an honest and truthful person when they are not using the statement.

It is synonymous with: to tell you the truth, honestly, actually, as a matter of fact, in fact , truthfully

I'm not gonna lie, she is looking fine.

I'm not gonna lie, this taste terrible.

I'm not gonna lie, you are really good at what you do.

After getting my arm broken by Braun Strowman, I was loaded into an ambulance. When I got in, I heard a loud voice yell, "I'm not finished with you!" Strowman then tipped over the ambulance with me still inside.
