Three meanings all used interchangeably:

1. Like fresher-five : gain weight hence spread

2. Fresher flu - flu which spreads like wild fire because freshers can’t keep their hands to themselves

3. Freshers ‘spreading of legs’

Returner Grace: gee John that fresher spreads hitting you hard, I swear you’re twice the size since I last saw you!
Fresher John: Fresher spreads got me in more ways than one. I’m sick as a dog.

Returner Grace: Yeah well you know why, you woulda got it off that girl you were hooking up with last Sunday night. Bloody fresher spread alright.
