Bashar al-Assad

The democratically elected president of Syria. He is not exactly evil monster dictator as US propaganda and western bullshit media (CNN, BBC) says.

Before Syrian civil war started, Syria was a peaceful country with happy citizens living in prosperity. What he did was to keep Syria away from western influence, and nationalize Syrian industries instead of giving them to western companies. Which pissed off USA and NATO imperialists, and they decided to ruin the shit out of Syria just like what they did to Iraq and Libya.

Bashar al-Assad is a good person.

Backhanded Insult

A compliment couched in the form or tone of an insult. Often used by people who *want* to be nice, but fear being seen as weak or disingenuous, but can be unintentional.

When Maurice told Mary she was "the least photogenic pretty chick" he'd ever seen, he meant that pictures didn't do her beauty justice, but it came off as a backhanded insult.

A way to snap the fingers where, at the beginning of the snap, your hand is directly in front of you and, by the end of the snap, your hand has been swung (or 'waved') toward the outside. (For example, the right hand is swung toward the right). The swing and snap are simultaneous.

Sometimes (usually?) done the the other hand placed on the hip. This snap is done particularly well by gay people. Thus the name. NOTE: not usually a snap used to accompany music but rather, to emphasize a point.

"Girl! Just LOOK at this apartment! You couldn't even clean it was a tactical nuclear weapon! You're gonna need a genie to just (fabulous faggot backhand-snap, here) snap his fingers, to clean this mess!"
