Amateur Holiday 

A day that has some legitimate meaning behind it (New Years Eve, St. Patricks Day, etc.) but is instead known for lightweights and drunk d-bags who drink more than they should and get sloppy drunk because its "cool man!" St. Patricks Day is such an Amateur Holiday.

On St. Patrick's Day I wanted to have some corned beef and a few green beers but every bar and restaurant was filled with sloppy drunk people in their 20s to 50s who cant hold their liquor. St Patricks day is a textbook Amateur Holiday.

Amateurish 

A sheltered person that is just starting to do the shenanigans in their late 40s, that their friends did in their late teens, early 20s... and doing these shenanigans like they know what their doing ( but really have no clue ) they even google how!

She just started smoking crack at 45 and look... she is so amateurish doing it that she wastes a majority of the dope! So much for Google being her teacher, she should just take the "Crack Smoking for Dummies 101" class!

professional amateur

Someone that is and will always be an amateur. A person that will never move to the next level and will never become better at a particular sport, job etc. They are called "professional" amateurs because it is almost like they are good at being mediocre.

That guy's a professional amateur, he's been working the same job for 25 years and hasn't moved up.

used to describe Friday and Saturday nights at bars in Alaska, when all the amateur alcoholics are out. Pro nights are all the other nights of the week when the real alcoholics hone their skills
