Womansplaining

A fancy name for "nagging."
Apparently, everything I've ever believed is wrong, and everything I ever feel or think is and will be as well, at least according to the womansplaining my current wife has been doing for the past 2 hours

Womansplain

The equally asinine counter term to "mansplain," (of a woman) to explain herself in an overly complex or unnecessarily verbal fashion, usually in an attempt to try and make a point by looking smart, or because she simply can't stop talking.
My wife goes to book club and she always has to use a 6 syllable word every other word. I wish she'd stop womansplaining her stories to me.

womansplain

(pronounced: woo m-uhn- spleyn)

-verb (used with or without object)

to give an explanation for the motivation behind a certain action or statement that has nothing to do with the current situation but rather is related to something else that has happened very long ago in the past
Guy: "Why are you getting so angry? So I forgot to take out the trash today. Big deal!"

Girl: "The reason I'm so angry is because you always do stuff like this! Like the time we went to dinner and we ran into your ex-girlfriend, but you didn't introduce me! I felt so embarrassed and awkward but you didn't even care!"

Guy: "What??? What does that have to do with anything? Besides, that happened a year ago!"

Girl: "OMG, you are sooo frustrating! I shouldn't have to explain everything to you! You just don't get it!"

Guy: "Wow..."

Guy's Friend later at a bar after hearing the story: "Dude, you just got womansplained."

Guy: "Yep."

Person 2: "Stop womansplaining and just get to the point already!"

Womensplaining

When women go on and on about how badly they are oppressed by the alleged patriarchy and how much privilege men, especially white men, allegedly have over women in society.

Often used as a retort by a woman when you try to point out the double standard of how sexism against men in TV shows, commercials and movies is allowed, while the same thing with the genders reversed would never be allowed and result in an outcry and heavy protest by feminist groups.
White Man: I find the way men are portrayed as aggressive and stupid in most commercials and TV shows these days, and how the women constantly put them down highly offensive, it would never be allowed if the genders were reversed, it's a double-standard
Woman: Yeah, well, you're a man and you're also white so you need to check your privilege and shut up. Women have it way worse than man and make less money so you need to just man up and take it!

White Man: God, can I point out the double standard of sexism against men in the media being accepted and sexism against women not be accepted to one women without her womensplaining about how privileged she thinks I am and how much of an oppressed victim of the patriarchy she things she is?
