An extension of the more common 'Wasteman' used as an insult or in a joking manner between friends.

It can also be used to describe someone who has just done something stupid or pointless.

Person 1 - "I just heard Dave broke his arm trying to skateboard"

Person 2 - "Ha! What a wasteman deev."
