Someone who is drunk and being loud as a result (both of these conditions have to be met for someone to be considered a tomato).

Originated from a misunderstanding at a party between someone asking about their noise level and someone else, also drunk, who assumed they were asking how red their face was.

"How loud am I being?"
"Tomato."

And so "tomato" was born.
