Herp-nerding

Present participle of herp-nerd (Verb).

The act of engaging in behavior which focuses on an object or circumstance peripheral to the immediate object or circumstance at hand.

The act of herp-nerding essentially introduces an extra element of humor by slightly derailing norms by focusing on something that doesn't need to be focused on, making it the new topic of focus. This act alters the attention from the immediate focus, to a peripheral focus.

(ex 1): Two individuals sit in a restaurant looking over a menu. This is the (normal) immediate object or circumstance at hand.

Herp-nerding would ensue if one or both of the two individuals were to take the menu, the silverware, and all objects on both sides of a table and attempt to match them up equally, as if each of the objects on both ends of the table were mirror images of one another.

The focus (and act of herp-nerding) would shift from reading the menu and ordering food, to mirroring the objects--the focus changed (from reading/ordering food) to (playing with and mirroring the objects on the table).

nerding is a form of studying which involves more of mugging but in most ways it is used as a slang to transpose the word studying. this term coined in National Public School, Indiranagar, Bangalore (where else) is often used as a way to chide others for doing the same.

"What are you nerding?"

guy to another guy studying : dude you nerding for the test?

guy1: Dude, the test is today man! I'm dying!

1.) probably the worse place on the planet to ever work at, that is if you are a c.n.a. it is run by the r.n. and those godawful l.p.n.'s who think they are so intelligent because they pass oral meds all day long.2.) A place where you will come home with shit on your uniform because some nasty ass son of a bitch decided to shit on you 3.)also employs many street niggers who think they are the 'shit' and act as if they own the place. On top of that, they hate any white employee who actually has a future and didn't get knocked up at 13. 4.) A godforsaken hellhole 5.) A place where not one c.n.a. can be found, because those worthless employees flee the scene in a moment's notice in order to get their 3-hr cigarette break.

If you just got your c.n.a. license, don't ever work at a nursing home, unless you want to be disrespected 24/7 by the worthless nurses who are not capable of working anywhere else.
