Adorable Representative MC for Youth. Fandom name for the korean global artist BTS. The MC in ARMY means host/speaker. In short, ARMY means the speaker or the voice of youth.
ARMY goes with the english meaning, too. Since BTS means Bulletproof Boyscouts, they have an army who adores, protect, support and love them no matter what.
Army is written as 아미 in hangul. In romanization it's ami, and ami in french means best friend.
ARMY is a very diverse fandom and is like an independent community. ARMY have counselors, book clubs, data bases, a content index account, charity projects and now online tutors.
Army is not just a fandom, army is a family.
But still, army gets the most hate from kpop fandoms.

A.R.M.Y. is the shield, motivation and inspiration of BTS.

Unlike what some people think ARMY are not trouble makers nor do they cause drama or fan wars, they are simply those who supported a group of underdogs (at the time) called BTS who received a lot of hate from the kpop community because of their different approach/views and so did their fans. It stands for adorable representative MC of the youth which is eh.. Namjoon seems to like it so! They support the seven boys like no other fandom does and they conquered so so much together it's a miracle.
