2. (Anthropology) A piece of wood, shell, stone, or other substance, worn in a perforation of the lip or cheek by many savages. Commonly seen as large discs in some African tribes.
3. Commonly used to describe the lip perforation on the chin. Not scientifically recognized as an actual body part.
