CISV Interchange

Definition. CISV ( Children's International Summer Villages) Interchange programs are for youth ages 13 to 16 years and usually comprise two groups of 10 youths from two cities with a chaperone. You spend one month hosting a friend from a foreign country and one month as a guest in their home. Great cultural immersion experience.

Peace Through Understanding is their motto..

Yaron and I participated in a CISV Interchange along with 9 of his friends from Tel Aviv and 9 of mine in NYC. First summer he visited me in NYC for a month. The following summer, I lived with his family and we toured Israel.

using two or more languages at the same time in speach/writing. My friends and I used to find ourselves using the Irish or French words for things in conversation. We were studying for our oral exams in those languages at the time, so sometimes could think of the French/Irish word for something easier than the English.

Thanks to their ability to adapt, humans have become interplanetary organisms and can thrive almost anywhere in the universe.

Interplanetary Travel

Travelling between the eight planets in our solar system. We've reached every one by unmanned probes but all we've been able to take a human to is our moon.

NASA is planning to send humans on an Interplanetary Travel mission to Mars by 2020, but it looks like we have too many problems on Earth to deal with first.
