Hooville

Alternate slang name for the city of Hoover, AL, a large suburb located south of Birmingham, AL. Hooville is a turn on the Dr. Seuss's fiction town of Whoville. Much like the denizens of the fictional town and most American suburbanites, residents of Hooville are characterized by their adherence to conformity. In Hooville's case, adherence to conformity of middle-class lifestyle, appearance and social/political thought.

Alyssa, recognizing that the top and shorts that Mackenzie had on were from Aéropostale, she immediately thought, "Yeah, she from Hooville."
