Can also be condensed to the acronym "GFG" when used to describe two guys that are very close.

When a friend or family member meets you somewhere without telling you your ex will also be there, especially after many years when they have not called or attempted contact in any way. This is usually initiated by the ex (the "Gatsby") but not always.
