The colloquial term Australian property investors use to describe how they afford luxury items. Ie spending equity earned in a property boom to build status through further purchases far beyond your financial capacity.

“How can you afford that new car?” Answer “equitymate”! How many properties do you own and how did you manage that?” Answer “easy, equitymate. Used equity in my house to buy another three!”
