Auto-Dido Syndrome

The phenomena of individuals who purposely or subconsciously seek out partners who they know will hurt and/or abandon them. It is usually manifests from unresolved commitment and self-image issues. It is named for Queen Dido of the Aeneid and her desolation and death following her affair with Aeneas.

We all know why he dated her, he hasn't addressed his Auto-Dido Syndrome.
