Simply enough, it's complimenting someone, while at the same time, insulting them.

Complisult

An insult that seems like a compliment until you think about it.

Example: Person 1: Did you cut your hair? It looks nice, although there's a lot of gray in it.

Person 2: Um, thanks.

People who like to use complisults are usually people who have no clue, are narcissists, have no social skills or tact, or they just feel threatened and insecure, i.e., lizard- titted middle- aged menopausal women who are attention grabbing twits.

A statement which starts as a compliment and ends with a subtle, or at times not so subtle, insult.

MO: MFR is absolutely right, that's twice in ten years.
EMM: Great complinsult MO!

MFR: PNM is great at throwing darts, he hits MO's arm every time.
PNR: That complinsult don't confront me.

1. To compliment and insult someone at the same time.

a. To belittle colleagues.

2. To insult and compliment someone at the same time.

b. To make yourself feel better about yourself when someone else has a much better idea than you, but your jealousy cannot fully allow you to fully compliment them.

Mr_Kaayyy your projects and what you come up with are awesome this is the compliment, but you spelled the "Beatles" wrong this is the insulting.

(Noun) Backhanded compliment. When someone can say something nice and insulting within one sentence.
