Thursday afternoon girl

The origins come from the TV show Gilmore Girls. In season 1, after Rory and Dean have been miserable from the breakup, Rory attempts to get back together with him. While walking downtown with Lane on a Thursday afternoon, she decides to go into Doose's Market because Dean should be working there. However, she is dissappointed to find out Dean isn't there. She goes back outside to tell Lane he's probably moved on to a "Thursday afternoon girl."

RORY: I guess he's taking Thursday afternoons off now. That's not good.

LANE: How is that not good?

RORY: Because that means he's moved on.

LANE: What are you talking about?

RORY: Obviously he's met one of those Thursday afternoon girls.

LANE: What's a Thursday afternoon girl?

RORY: They're those slutty girls that get guys to switch their Thursday afternoons with another checkout guy so they can go do slutty Thursday afternoon things.

After a long, exhausting week of work when co-workers need to relax a little bit and take a break from the daunting tasks piling atop their desk. Co-workers gather around one employee's computer screen, in their cubicle and search for funny youtube clips i.e. SNL Celebrity Jeopardy, etc.

D: What a week this has been!
K: OMG, I know! It's been crazy!
D: I think we need to have a You-Tube Afternoon to wind down from the week.

afternoon delight

Afternoon Delight is quite simply all about daytime love making, the naughty type. It was also the name of a song sung in the 70s by a group called the starland vocal band. Theses words date back to around 130BC in Ancient Egypt, when people along the nile respectively went out in the afternoon to the banks of the nile and made love to their partners. I'm talking about having a bowl of chicken soup with a rubin, then making dirty rubin love. Now days we would see this as a mass orgy, but back then it was quite common. Afternoon Delight coming from the Ancient Egyptian words Aftaron, meaning before night, and delita, meaning sex.

Rubbing sticks and stones together makes the sparks ingite
