Family Floor Style

The process of "preparing" food by dropping it on the floor before consumption.
Unlike the five second rule, there is no time limit for when the food may be eaten and contact with the floor is intended to improve the flavor and over all eating experience. Also, while it may appear that the food has been accidentally dropped, people who enjoy a family floor style meal insist the dropping is deliberate.

"I like my bologna sandwiches made family floor style. That's why I dropped it on purpose."

cutting room floor

An term used to define parts of a movie or TV show that do not make it into the final product.

There are various reasons a scene might be 'cut'. Time constraints, the producers feeling it doesen't fit or simply not liking the scene for various reasons.

Sometimes releases of a movie are made with cut scenes inserted.

They had a great scene in this movie where the main character comes to terms with his past. Unfortunatly, it didn't make it past the cutting room floor.
