Podcast effect

When you have been listening to someone in a podcast and you finally see what they look like.
I have been listening to SYSK for 3 years now and just looked them up. I see them differently now... WOAH that's the podcast effect in action.

Delphine Effect

A surrealist feeling of profound and utter confusion that roots in the inhabitude of seeing someone or something in a certain setting.

The Gandhi Effect

If you're idolized enough, people will ignore all the horrible things you've done in your life. Being deceased is optional, although it has been proven to make the effect more...effective.
The Gandhi Effect is named for Mahatma Gandhi, who is often worshipped as a hero around the world, despite the fact that he was a serial rapist.

Lafazan Effect

When protections for protected classes, including historically discriminated communities, are afforded to historically privileged groups. For instance, Blacks are prosecuted more often for hate crimes than are Whites, when Blacks were intended to be protected against hate crimes. Background: New York Nassau County Legislator Josh Lafazan introduced a bill that identifies county police as a protected class. Such a bill will have the effect of prosecuting those demanding reforms and changes in a historically biased police force.
Looks like Terryl is getting prosecuted for hate crimes because he called his attacker "white" while defending himself - he's getting the full Lafazan Effect.
