"Too hard" is something said by people who want to disguise the fact that they suck too much and make themselves feel justified in their mediocrity which cripples their minds and ensures that another generation of parasites walk the Earth. It's much easier than learning new skills, applying elbow grease, and doing other practical things to approach challenges in life.

Someone who IS NOT a slacker or modern lazy kid.

Anyone who actually tries to do or be anything productive at all.

it is ALWAYS an insult agenst the person using the term, refering to the speaker as being extreemly lazy or disruptive.

Look at that try hard actually playing the game instead of just sitting in the corner spinning in circles like me and my team.

Try-Hard

A person (usually a noob) who really gives everything they possibly can to everything they do; they are hard-workers. But they work for all the wrong reasons, they just really want to be the best at everything but they usually end up looking fake and forced. They really want to look excellent, but they aren't. They end up working harder than they have to and don't get accepted because of it. They are very similar to wanna-be's but worse because they make their actions obvious to everyone they can.

Mike- Wow guys, look at Justin trying to dunk! What a try-hard!
Bryant- *laughs* OH WOW, He is sucha try-hard! Justin!
Justin- Yeah?
Mike- STOP TRYING TO DUNK!
Justin- I just can't believe I can't touch rim yet.
