Get the Pillz-SJVHS mug.The acronym means 'Social Justice Warrior'. Originally meant exactly as what it stood for, but its recent more modern meaning is more derogative/negative. SJW is a label used to refer to anyone who displays behaviour typical to a 'Karen', except unlike the label of 'Karen', SJW isn't so restrictive, in that its not used to refer to a specific cohort of 'Racist, Privileged, Ignorant White women'. Instead, SJW is a much broader term referring to anyone who is irrationally oversensitive to a minor topic and responds to things they don't like with equally pointless, irrational behaviour and outrage. Note: By 'anyone', it means that SJW could be used to describe an individual of any gender, race, or nationality.

Originally used only by 'Right-wingers' or 'Conservatives' as a way to insult, discourage, & intimidate 'left-wing' activists/progressives pushing for any form of logical social reforms in a bid to make society a 'better place'. However, in light of the growing improvements and social involvement of internet access, the term has also come to gain traction among the 'Left-wingers' or 'progressives' to refer to overly extreme activists who unintentionally derails their own interests by unnecessarily pushing things too far.

Scenario: An educational high-school field trip to a decommissioned Slave Plantation has been cancelled at the last minute due to bad weather that would've posed a severe safety hazard to the students' safety & well-being.
A normal response: "Bad weather poses a severe safety concern? It's understandable, no big deal."
An SJW's response: "How dare the school cancel the trip on such late notice. It's probably all just an excuse to prevent students from gaining a hands-on POV of slavery. They must be against teaching students about the country's horid history of oppression (Slavery). How are they even qualified to teach? Those racists should all be fired! Everyone needs to stand up against their tyranny. How dare they do this in this day and age, and get away with it!"
