Akin to respect, but much deeper. Coined by Paul "Froggy" Schneider over a lunch converstaion with some compadres in the Summer of 1999 at the Biomedical Research Building (BRB) at Case Western Reserve University. At the time, he was being ragged on by said group and blurted out in front of everyone at the table something akin to, "Stop it. Y'know, I just don't get any respef around here." To which an individual named merlin responded, "How do you expect to get respect if you keep talking like that!" From there on out it became an increasingly popular "in joke" at Case and grew over time to have attached to it deep feelings of respect and honor (curiously contrary to it's original usage).

Quit trash talking me. I don't get any respef around here. Sheeeit.

Something that can be earned without money or fame.

It is to accept the belief, value, and/or moral, etc. of living and/or nonliving things with or without knowledge it, even when it is oppose to yours.

Joe strongly believes in god, yet he respects his best buddy, Greg, with his strong belief of being an atheist.

Sam's mother respect his son's choice of being a male stripper.

Cassie sees the light of all living things and respects the life of all bugs.

Cassie can't hurt a fly.

Joan is respected by her high marks on the test.

James is respected for being a financially independent , who does male stripping for women as a side job for fun. He comes home every night to please his man.

Respect 35

Means to do the speed limit and follow traffic laws on I-35 in Austin, Texas, but could also be through Dallas and other large cities in Texas that 35 runs through. Cops give a lot of tickets on I-35 in Austin, and do car searches once they have you pulled over.

Friend: "U best respect 35"
You: "I'm only doin 10 over"
Cop: "May I see your license and insurance? You got a ticket for speeding, now get out tha car n let me search that shyt!"
Friend: "I told you to respect 35"
