A man who likes to date younger women (i.e. he swims downstream in age); Antonym = salmon (a guy who likes to date older women, or swims upstream in age). Synonym = male cougar

trout pout

Oversized lips, typically on females, especially after a callogen injection operation (cosmetic surgery where callogen is injected into the lips to enlarge them) gone awry. Basically, abnormally huge lips that look ridiculously bad. (Many dead trout (a type of fish) have overly large lips.)

Some people say Angelina Jolie has a trout pout, but I think her large lips are sexy.

speak truth to power

A phrase coined by the Quakers during in the mid-1950s. It was a call for the United States to stand firm against fascism and other forms of totalitarianism; it is a phrase that seems to unnerve political right, with reason.

The founders of United States risked their lives in order to speak truth to power, that of King George. It was and is considered courageous, although is more commonly scorned today.

truth

1. The Abominable Snowman of society; a mythic legend which many swear by and is not without some minute traces of tangible evidence to add credence to the possibility of its existence.
2. What some seek to find, and others to escape.

They say the truth will set you free.
But I’ve been a prisoner to lies for so long I’ve practically become institutionalized.
Though I no longer pace between the gloomy corners of my shady cell, I do not believe that I can ever truly “be free.”
Not as long as I continue to fear my truth, while still taking refuge in my lies.
