1. A type of mushroom, commonly used in Asian cuisine espec.

2.A silly way to make someone think you're going to say shit, but instead you surprise them by mentioning this type of mushroom instead.

(Emphasis on the shiit part of the word.)

Me: " That's a bunch of shiitake mushrooms!"

9drags out the word by saying it like" shii...take mushrooms!"

Rage Shirt

Comparable to Red Shirts. Expendable, relatively main characters in an action movie who go on a sudden killing rampage in a battle scene, usually ending in their death by multiple gunshot/stab wounds.

Guy 1: DUDE! Did you see that cavalry guy during the Last Samurai? Epic killing rampage.

Guy 2: Yeah man, I love seeing rage shirts in movies.

Red-shirt guy

A character in fiction (usually TV or movies) that will meet their demise almost immediately at the beginning of the story. Can also be a real person that is clearly going to fail at the onset. Derived from the original Star Trek TV series in which unimportant characters (wearing red shirts) would accompany the main characters on an adventure and get killed before the first commercial break.

(pointing at TV screen) "See that ditzy chick with the radio? Red-shirt guy!"

"Manfred wants to play darts with them."
"Red-shirt guy."
"Yeah."
