Fairborn

Fairborn is a city in Greene County, Ohio, United States, near Dayton and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. It claims to be the only city in the world with the name of Fairborn, a portmanteau word created from the names Fairfield and Osborn; the two villages that merged in 1950 after the Great Dayton Flood of 1913 forced Osborn to move out of a flood plain and alongside Fairfield.

Fairborn is the home of Wright State University. Fairborn is served by a branch of the Greene County Public Library. It is part of the Dayton Metropolitan Statistical Area. Fairborn as also home to the disaster training facility known as Calamityville.

Probably derived from when the original convict Australians were whipped with a "cat o nine tail" for any old indiscretion whether deserved or not...

Fair Play, SC

A great little town. Where all you need is a Dollar General and a Yoder's building supply for when you need to go out and get something. Peaceful and quiet but also beautiful. You can enjoy nice walks out in open fields, go fishing at BeaverDam Lake, and even visit the Fair Play beach. A good place to live with lots of nice people too. Fair Play is a great place.

MAN: I live in Westminster. Where do you live?
WOMAN: I live in Fair Play, SC.
MAN: Man, I wish I lived there...
