Misogyny is when a man has total and utter contempt for women, but refuses to acknowledge or speak about the fact that many men might do awful things too. It's when there is an obviously unbalanced view of the two genders, and one is obviously being criticized a lot more than the other, even though both can be deserving of criticism. It's refusing to acknowledge a balanced view of gender issues.
