Farquaad

A Farquaad is an arrogant man/male who makes others feel inferior through posturing and excessively asserting themselves during conversations.

They present themselves as being of superior intellect and use their tone of voice to belittle others and minimise attention when proven incorrect.

They are a caricature of a person. You sense inauthenticity & bravado when around this person.

The term Farquaad comes from the Shrek character Lord Farquaad.

You are having a meal with a group of friends and a guy is telling you exactly what he thinks about a topic and why your stance is incorrect. You start to feel less intelligent than him & begin to doubt your thoughts - even though you know you are correct.

He's a farquaad.
