Social studies

The worst subject in all of life. Like who needs to know about things that happened long ago?!? Like if I need to know about history I would just read. Who needs history?

Person: Why is social studies a thing? Who needs it?
Social studies teacher: you better need it to learn!
Person: about what?
Social studies teacher: Ummmm... Something?

Social Moth

Similar in nature to a Social Butterfly in that they are attracted to social events, or anywhere a number of people are gathered.

The main difference being that while a Social Butterfly is usually more outgoing and well liked by their social group(s), Social Moths gather around the popular people & places without being particularly popular themselves, much like a moth is attracted to a bright light.

Social Moths usually aren't particularly attractive or talented and tend to lack any real personality so they gather around people with those qualities to make themselves appear more interesting.

Not to be confused with a Wallflower who may actually have a great personality but is generally just introverted or shy in large groups.

Steve: Aww man, Dave showed up again. Who invites him anyway?

Tony: Yeah, he's a total Social Moth, showing up uninvited and hangin around all the popular people but he really doesn't have many friends.

Social Parasite 

n. A person who is typically/always socially imperceptive and 'latches on' to a group of people. this person is along for a ride and is impossible to lose, usually makes awkward comments making them unwanted. they are with you and eat away at your cool factor, making them a parasite

n. a tape worm with many friends and/or a facebook account

guy: wow person 3 is such a parasite!

girl: i know he saw us at dinner and has not left yet...wtf

person 3(social parasite):so guys....im going to watch you make out ok?

Social Terrorism 

Dropping a bomb in the middle of a social situation to make things awkward.

My sister just committed an act of Social Terrorism. She goes, "Ed, why are you so cheap? Even my brother says you are cheap." And then she turns around and goes to the bar, leaving me to clean up the disaster.

The separation of impersonal and significant relationships. In order to engage in Social Intercourse, one must consider the other individual to be significant. This situation can be expressed through shared music, laughter, or deep and meaningful conversation.

If you have ever had a close friend or lover that can make you laugh with a single glance or that can finish your sentences for you, this is Social Intercourse in action.

The act of, when out with friends and having a particularly engaging conversation, coming out with a completely inane or otherwise offensive/distasteful/unfunny comment that is so heinous it kills the conversation dead.

Friend 1: "Aww man that's so funny..."
Friend 2: "Yeah, tonight's been really cool."
You: "Hey, aren't spastics funny!?"
