Crypto Armenian

People with Armenian heritage typically residing in Turkey who hid their Armenian ancestry after the Armenian genocide of 1915 to avoid persecution and discrimination. They are typically Turkish people with full or partial ethnic Armenian origin. They can also be called hidden Armenians.

My Kurdish friend just found out he's actually a Crypto Armenianhiding from the genocide, yeah he's having a bit of an identity crisis.
