Blue Shift

The increase in the frequency of starlight because of the Doppler shift. If a yellow star is moving toward you, it's light will appear slightly bluish. In outer space, blue shifted galaxies are rare. Blue shift can also be created by shrinking the space between two points via gravity or space warps.

Red shift is more common than blue shift because most objects in our expaning universe are moving away from us.

Shifty Shellshock

The hot pec dude from the rap/rock group Crazy Town. His body rivals that of the studly Hayato Kanzaki, except Shifty has two (2) nipple rings, some other piercings (I forgot where...) and a bunch of tattoos all over his torso.

Shift-Delete

This is the process of sending an e-mail then immediately going into sent mail and doing a SHIFT-DELETE to remove the e-mail without going throught the deleted items folder. This is an appropriate tactic when sending sexually explicit e-mails that you don't want recorded by anyone.

We were exchanging very hot and steamy e-mails at work so we immediately SHIFT-DELETED them.

The process of calling someone that you know is not home, or cannot answer, for the sole purpose of shifting the responsibility of the return call to the other person.
