"Ramen" and "going/went to get ramen" refers to cheating on someone when in a relationship. It's also used as a cover, either by the cheater or by the person being cheated on in order to save face.

(The popular ramen chain Ichiran can also be used as a synonym.)

quite possibly the best friend out there. regardless of how long you’ve known him, any form of relationship with him will feel like you’ve known him for multiple lifetimes. he goes through a lot, so take care of him. ranen is super special… regardless of what he says about himself. even though he’s been broken, he’ll never put you through the same things he’s been through.
