case candy

Items that should be included in a guitar sale that a potential seller, usually on Ebay, withholds then "throws in" in order to make a potential buyer feel like he/she is getting something extra, items such as tremelo bar or polishing cloth are referred to as "case candy".

Hit the "Buy it Now" option and I'll throw in the case candy, other wise I'll sell the whammy bar on another auction to squeeze another few dollars out of you

Corner Case

A use case, situation or artifact of a project that you and/or your colleges completely missed. It's a nice way of wording the fact that someone overlooked something important and now suddenly it's apparent to everyone.

Guy 1: Oh shit the freakin program is crashing immediately. I think the problem is the database isn't installed!

Guy 2: Yeah... another corner case. Good thing we're checkin' all the angles. Maybe we should put some hand rails around this one.

Beat the case

Contrary to the other definition,
Beating the case is not only getting away with a crime, because that implies that you commited the crime.

You can also beat the case while being innocent and not having commited any crime, thus falsely accused.

Feds incarcerated me for no reason, still i had to fight in court and prove my innocence.

In the end truth ruled and i beat the case!

when someone puts an empty case of beer on his (almost always male) head. generally what the drunkest douche at any given party inevitably ends up wearing. extreme case hattees may even poke eye and mouth holes in their case hat, for prolonged case hatting.

Bro, you shoulda been at Rick's party last night. Tim got totally axed and put on a case hat, and then he fell down and we beat the shit out of him with a big wooden spoon.
