The false argument that you will automatically become attractive if you buy a certain product.

Promosexuality occurs in ads all the time, mostly the target is men and the lure is women.

"They say that if you wash with that shampoo, mobs of women will riot in the street attempting to tear off your clothes. "

"That is promosexuality, it only works in commercials."

Where a "rising through the ranks" knight or lord is given a more-luxurious castle with a sizable water-filled ditch surrounding it.

King Arthur was known for his fair and generous treatment of his loyal and courageous round-table warriors, so I imagine that he regularly gave them promoations to reward them for exceptional bravery and/or servitude.
