Any time you hear the word "rock" in a rock song, change it to "fuck" for the true meaning of the line/song.

Some prime examples for the Basic Rule of Rock:

Rock Star Points

This term originated while a group of friends were playing Guitar Hero after a night out at the bars. If you've played the game or seen anyone playing it (as is my case), you know that doing things like playing the solo perfect or waving the guitar around while you're playing ("lift the neck up!") makes your score in the game go up. You get more "rock star points" and can use the points to get cool stuff in the game. Therefore, anything cool, hot, sexy, badass that you do in life gives you rock star points. We're all earning them all the time and no one is actually keeping track of how many anyone has, but sometimes you do something really sweet (ie: fuck the shit out of your significant other, give awesome head, shake your booty and make people hot, etc.) and your friend or whoever is like "5 million rock star points for that one".

"You can't play music, but you get lots of rock star points for moving your hips like that, girl"
"You get 5 million rock star points for sucking my dick like that"
"5000 rock star points for shakin' your booty like that"

Rocks Socks

A overused phrase. Mainly used by Imposter Hipsters who think saying it means they are so called "cool." Many people use the phrase occasionally (which is okay when used in moderation. Imposter Hipsters include the people who lable theirselves as goth, emo, or punk, when in fact they actually are scene kids looking for attention.

Hipster Imposter: "Like oh my gawd! I like totally like that band. They like totally Rox my sox (aka Rocks Socks)!!

Person who is their own self: "Do you even know the band's name or who plays in it? Name one non-mainstream song."

Hipster Imposter: "Uh, oh my gawd! I totally don't know."

Person who is their own self: "Exactly what I thought."

Fashion Rock

Any and all music that envokes runway like beahvior or a feeling of fashion revoloution or inovation.If you can close your eyes and see waif thin girls strutting teh runway in stilletos to a song then thats it!Heidi Slimaes fashion inspiration for his entire skinny suit asthetic was franz ferdinands self titled album . Mostly fashion rock is alternative music ranging from the strokes "reptilia", morningwoods "jetsetter", we are scientists "nobody move nobody gets hurt" The killers "Somebody told me" the faints "agenda suidice" she wants revenges " I wanna tear you apart" etc.

I only listen to Fashion Rock while at really trendy parties

Prefix Rock

In theory, any form of Rock and Roll that requires a prefix to add focus: Emo Rock, Folk Rock, Punk Rock etc. In practice, a term used to describe a form of rock music that the speaker doesn't consider "authentic".

I'm so sick of Prefix Rock. Gimme some of the real stuff, like Springsteen!
