The most common use of the word was getting pwned in a video game at the same point that you usually got slapped down. Usually accompanied by grinding teeth and an assortment of vaguely Italian hand gestures toward the tv screen.

"Proxyfenders" often act as though they themselves have been attacked personally, even though that is very much not the case.
