proy
In the mid eighties in northwestern Pennsylvania "proy" was a word used to express mild to extreme frustration at the situation one found one's self in, having entered the situation knowing that the chance of this happening was high. The most common use of the word was getting pwned in a video game at the same point that you usually got slapped down. Usually accompanied by grinding teeth and an assortment of vaguely Italian hand gestures toward the tv screen.
