That's a selection of countries and their adult literacy rates. Isn't it funny that the USA, who is best represented on this site has a lower literacy rate than the former USSR countries.

Lateral Strike

a soft blow to the side of the head. A lateral strike has a very specific technique. One must flattened the hand & palm, and start with arm raised above the head. Strike downwards swiftly and in a circular motion towards target. Reduce all force prior to impact with target.

E.g. Everyone once in a while, people will give Chingy a lateral strike, to put him back in his place.

Later Rita

When someone has waay too much to drink and makes a complete ass of themselves, to the point when you no longer want anything to do with the situation and let them stumble through their own ridiculousness. Also a way to describe or justify shenanigans from the night before.

Often used as a way to say "goodbye" after a drink, implying that you will not remember or be held responsible for anything that occurs after said drink.

A: Did you see that drunk girl dancin on the box in her bra?
B: Yeah, wow. Later Rita.

A: You were such a mess last night you passed out on the kitchen floor wearing a sombrero.
B: Haha yeah I was Later Rita. Where did I even get that hat?

Shorter version of 'See you later.' with a personal touch replacing the 's' with a 'zz'.

Used in the Netherlands, both in messages and on the streets.

Lateakfast

pronounced 'late-ache-fast'

it is a form of breakfast eaten so late that it should be considered brunch, but you're going to have lunch at a normal time anyway.

I woke up at midday so cooked a fry up for lateakfast before going out for lunch.
