1. Someone who wears what is "in" and it is usually pink. (I have nothing against guys wearing pink, I wear it all the time but usually when girls wear pink it is very preppy). These trends come from people in the mainstream media like Ashlee Simpson. My philosophy is that preps are like lemons in many ways: they all look alike, they're all dumb, and we can't figure out what plant either of them grows on.

Preps are noobs.
(I admitt there are some girls who wear prep clothes who are not preps).

do people forget what real preps are?i dont live in a society that is one big flaw lik ethe united states.real preps are epople like frasier.there is nothing wrong if you are rich and want to be more civilised than those people who would rather go pick up a ho and then get drunk.there is nothing wrong if you like all those clothing brands mentioned.if u like htose clothes its fine.if u lik emainstream music its fine.BUT the underground term for prep are those who,jsu becaus ethey have a higher status in any walk of life specially high school think they can get your crush hate you.and the preps who say that they are individuals let me say something these stereotypes are a more flawed version of nationalities.each have their own customs the basic core but not everyone is on the spot alike. i jsut went to the us recently and u have go tto understand ppl think preps like those displayed in movies are just exaggerated.when i went to the us i asked a prep for assistance and after the wa\y she lloked at me and talked to me i was laughin in her face.

Ok, the people who wrote definitions for preps are completely ignorant and stupid. First off, real preps do not wear abercrombie, american eagle, aero, express, or any of that shit. It's cheap and gross. They wear Lacoste, Vineyard Vines, Ralph Lauren, Burberry, and a few select others. Secondly, preps are not brainwashed by the media. At all. Seriously, main stream music is mostly gross. Some is good, some, but a lot is nasty. We do not demean other people, or put anyone down, and we actually give money to charity. Seriosuly, gosh. People who hate preps are just mad that they either A: don't have the money to afford things. or B: wouldn't be able to pull preppy clothing off. And being a prep is more than just clothes. It's a whole lifestyle.
Lastly, preppy clothing isn't even that expensive! Wtf, like, one polo from lacoste is only $70, aboutish. And jeans could be around $120. Maybe if you guys didn't spend all your money on crack you could afford it. And who cares if we have boats, like, everyone has one.
Oh yeah, WTF, who said we can't play instruments? Um, I've been taking classical piano lessons for 8 years, and i can definitely play, and preps CAN have artistic qualities. Gosh.

Oh wow, I'm so jealous that I'm not friends with the preps, and I'm not a prep, so I'm going to make fun of them and use completely wrong examples about them because I don't understand them.

Not all preps are snobby and stuck up.They are normal people who just hang out with other ppl that dress the same as eachother and have a lot in common!
everyone thinks that they are snobby bitches who think that they are better than everyone but really all we are is just a group of friends who are in to the latest fashion....yea so what we wear abercrbomie and carry coach...we have a right to be fasionable..n i hate when other ppl judge us i mean ...were not slutty at all so i dont know what all of your problems are
