All your base are belong to us" (often shortened to "All Your Base", "AYBABTU", or simply "AYB") is a broken English phrase that sparked an internet phenomenon in 2001 and 2002, with the spread of a Flash animation that depicted the slogan. The text is taken from the opening cut scene of the European Sega Mega Drive version of Zero Wing, a Japanese video game by Toaplan which was rushed and so was rather poorly translated into English, and is often regarded as butchering the English language.

Errata Corrige: In my last entry I stated that the All Blacks had lost around 1 in 5 of their last 40 games. They have in fact lost only 6 of the last 41 (an average of 1 defeat every 6.83 matches). An incredible record by anyone's standard.

A person who thinks they are “all that” believes they people should buy them lunch and open doors for them. They think they are so hot and sophisicated that they can attract anybody.

In the old days we'd have a saying for women who thought they were "all that" -------- Miss Fine Thang. The whole block would be in on it -- little kids would follow her down the street ridiculing her "Oh my, you walk SO FINE".

And people would be calling her that all her life.
