When randonneurs suffer on a long distance cycling event, their subsequent inability to recall the nature of that suffering and consequently their willingness to sign up for another one (despite it being almost certain they will suffer similarly again ) ...is called randonesia ( ie, randonneuring and amnesia )

Chap No1. " What? That 1200 km brevet through the alps with 3 days of wind and rain, 2 hours sleep and multiple mechanical failures wasn't that bad at all. I'd like to sign up for the next one please "

To rincon is to habitually decline every invitation to do something no matter the circumstance. This includes, but is not limited to, social events such as lunch with coworkers, drinks at a bar, camping, sporting events, or anything else with an invitation that could be declined.
