leecher

It refers to the act of giving yet providing nothing of substance in return, as it is named after the parasitic organism a leech.

Leecher can be applied practially to peer to peer file sharing protocols, or networks (Bittorrent, Kazza Fast Track, Gnutella}, in which the leecher consumes bandwidth by downloading, yet has no will to upload or give back to a community.

Particularly in Bittorrent, leechers are not actually increasing their performance, but possibly are decreasing it.

I know a leecher who in order to acheive maximum network thourough-output restricts uploading while bittorrenting.

leechiness

When a coworker, casual friend, or neighbor cannot get the hint that they are not wanted nor bring anything to the table. They then exhibit leechiness but still coming around often.

Why wont that girl down the block get a clue that she is super annoying, her leechiness is out of control.

resume leech

An individual who holds a position for the sole purpose of listing that position on their resume.

Generally this applies to a temporary position and the individual involved does not fulfill the necessary requirements for that position yet, the title of their position sounds very impressive on a resume.

ex/

John: "Sam is never in his office. He is the President of our organizations but never does anything here."

Jack: "I'm pretty sure he is just a resume leech."

Leech

A toxic, fake friend who hasn’t only clung onto you for personal gain. This includes clout, relationships, attention, other people to later leech onto (so called friends) and for the ability to simply use you. A leech is the worst kind of fake friend; they not only use you, but they suck up everything you have... until they have sucked up all your blood of course.

Cynthia was a leech, she was only nice to you so she could take advantage of you.

Her ex was such a leech, he only dated her so he could get with her friends. Not to mention that he took all her money.
