Larping

Larping (or LARPing) is short for "Live Action Role-Playing". A live action role-playing game is a form of role-playing game where the participants physically act out their characters' actions. The players pursue their characters' goals within a fictional setting represented by the real world, while interacting with one another in character. The outcome of player actions may be mediated by game rules, or determined by consensus between players.

The first LARPs were run in the late 1970s, inspired by role-playing games and genre fiction. The activity gained international popularity during the 1980s, and has diversified into wide variety of styles. Play may be very game-like, or may be more concerned with dramatic or artistic expression. The fictional genres used vary greatly, from realistic modern or historical settings to fantastic or futuristic eras. Production values are sometimes minimal, but can involve elaborate venues and costumes. LARPs range in size from small private events lasting a few hours to huge public events with thousands of players lasting for several days.

Laginator

A player in an online (typically pvp) game, who is so damn laggy they become invincible, seemingly entering Matrix-style bullet time, walking on water like Jesus, and wiping out entire enemy teams -- much like the terminator. Applies to both people intentionally lag switching as well as Vodafone customers.

Guy: Dude, some hacker just teleported into our base and slaughtered everyone!

Dude: Not hacking, just a laginator.

Guy: Did you check his ping?

Dude: It's over 9000.

Language LARPing

People, usually weebs, who pretend to learn a language but don't actually learn anything, they just like to play pretend. People who Language LARP focus on things that they don't need to know, just because they think it's cool, then they get upset and cry when they have no clue what is going on, and stop learning the language altogether, only to say to people "I used to be fluent in (insert language), but I forgot!"

Something that people on reddit.com/r/LearnJapanese/ do all the time.

"Where can I find good anime for learning the Osaka dialect? 藁う(means LOL in Japanese v^-^v)"

Andy Larkin

The single greatest cartoon character I know of, he's from the cartoon "What's with Andy?". The "Prince of Pranks" and "Master Trickster". Likes to prank, but his pranks always land him in deep trouble. Has had many things happen to him, including being in a rodeo, and being snagged on a bull's horns while the bull was running through East Gackle.
