Illinois

Midwest state. East North Central, I guess, if it makes sense. The state is pretty much Chicago, the suburbs and the rest of Northern Illinois, and then the other half is Central Illinois and Southern Illinois (Downstate). Chicago is the largest city and 3rd in the country, and has a lot to offer even if it keeps getting or at least staying dangerous. We're also known for corrupt politics and taxation. The state has a high population, but also has a lot of corn.

4. Home of the most corrupt politicians in the world.

Chicago just needs to severe from Illinois and become its own state, most downstaters treat it like one anyways.

Illinois Valley 

The Illinois Valley is a region that is located in the north-central part of Illinois. Approximately 100 miles southwest of Chicago, the Illinois Valley is often referred to simply as "the IV"
Though the region is not geographically defined it is generally accepted that it is bordered by Mendota on the North, Streator on the South, Princeton on the West, and Marseilles on the East.
The IV is characterized by a larger than average number of bars per capita, resulting in a higher level of alcoholism than is generally found across the country. Alternatively, there is a larger than average number of churches per capita.
The IV is located in a largely rural area covered in corn and soybean fields.
There are many business establishments named after the Illinois Valley, including Illinois Valley Community Hospital (IVCH) and Illinois Valley Community College (IVCC). IVCC students characteristically play Euchre and other card games instead of going to class, as a result it is not uncommon to remain an IVCC student for three years or more.

I've got to go home and visit my parents in the IV.

I need to make a trip to the Golf'n'Pub and Tiki.

Hampshire Illinois 

Hampshire Illinois is a little conservative redneck town out in the country. Friday night hot spot is Casey’s gas station and people drive tractors to school. Let’s roll up some joints and go ride my John Deere and farm! Hampshire Illinois is a perfect example of Trump USA.

University of Illinois  

The university is located in central Illinois across the towns of Champaign and Urbana. The school is well known for its academics, athletics, party scene, and school spirit. It is consistently ranked among the top universities in America in U.S. News and World Report. The university is commonly recognized for its exceptional engineering and business programs. It was also ranked the eighteenth best party school in the United States in 2009 by the Princeton Review. It is home to the largest Greek Community in the country with over 50 fraternities and 30 sororities. Alumni from the university are some of the most successful men and women in America, this includes Roger Ebert, the founders of YouTube, Deron Williams, and much more. Whether it is attending a Big Ten football game, going out to the bars, or chanting the famous I-L-L-I-N-I chant the students of this campus love their school.

My four years at the University of Illinois was the best experience of my life.

The University of Illinois is the greatest school in the Big Ten.

Illinoishole

Term of "endearment" for anyone who resides in the Land of Lincoln, especially when observed operating a motor vehicle, or serving as Governor. Very prevalent to use this term while driving through Chicagoland.
