An acronym for the long-running Indie game created by Scott Cawthon called Five Nights at Freddy's
The first game takes place in an old pizzeria called Freddy Fazbear's Pizza which is a Chuck-e-cheese style restaurant with large animatronic animals. The animatronics are Freddy, the bear. Foxy the fox (wow surprising right), Chica the chicken and Bonnie the rabbit (this guy made me HATE rabbits!). You play as a security guard working the night shift. But when you begin working at 6: 00 pm... (dun dun duuuuuuuuun), the animatronics come alive at night and try to kill you. So it becomes a Survival Horror game where you need to fight to survive until 6:00 am.

Short for Five Nights at Freddys, and indie horror game created by Scott Cawthon in 2014, there are nine (gonna be ten) games, which are the following: Fnaf, Fnaf2, Fnaf3, Fnaf4, Fnaf: Sister Location, FnafWorld, Freddys Pizzeria Simulator, Ultimate Custom night, and an upcoming one called Security Breach.
In these games (other than fnaf world) you play as a night guard at a pizzeria, named Mike Schmidt/Micheal Anton/ Eggs Benedict (fnaf 4 you play as a little kid).
You need to survive the nights, as the robot-animatronics come alive and try to stuff you in suits, you have five nights.
So, the main of the game is to check cameras, lock doors, shine flashlight, and more!
In FnaF2 onward, there are 8-bit minigames.
You can play these on iPhone, PC(steam), xbox, and ps4.

It has been popularized by YouTubers such as "Makiplier", "Jacksepticeye", etc. It has since then became a franshise, including 9 mainline games, 4 Spin-off games, 9 books, and soon, a movie.
