Jesus take the wheel

A command used when the driver of a vehicle requires the use of both his hands for a task other than steering i.e. sending a text, opening a beer, or rolling a joint. He yells “JESUS TAKE THE WHEEL!” while simultaneously removing his hands from it. It is then the immediate duty of the passenger to reach over , grab the wheel, and steer the vehicle until the driver has his hands free once again.

Spin the wheel

A threat, and a very serious one at that. If somebody threatens to spin the wheel on you beware! The wheel is a devastating haymaker type punch that may very well take your head off.
However, due to the severity of 'the wheel' it is very rarely spun. 'Spinning the wheel' is no joking matter.
Sometimes called 'the wheel of justice'

Reinvent the Wheel

Common code or jargon for copying someone else's work and claiming it as your own.

Frequently used in the military, even for the most mundane of tasks.

Especially applicable when the search to copy someone else's work requires more work than actually doing the work yourself.
1. If you've already done the work, there's no need to reinvent the wheel, just send me a copy of yours.
2. I'm sure I could do this, but why should I, there's no need to reinvent the wheel.
3. Whenever you copy and paste a request, remember to include that you don't want to reinvent the wheel.

You have got stuck in your current strategy. Your current options are either to do nothing or to lose. So you take the third option of introducing some randomness, knowing the situation can’t get worse, hoping the new situation will provide you more options.
